Recent court case on fidiciary care against the Province of Alberta / One has to wonder, are all the provinces inflating the cost of care?
In BC, there is a letter that says that the cost of attendant care is covered by the province for funded beds, which means in theory there's no allocation of claim for retirement home attendant care costs to be claimed as medical care if the care facility can't allocate that cost out to the patient pro-rata.
If the province have the right to decide that they fund the cost of attendant care, will seniors in care homes be an audit target as they are stripped of their medical care claims?
